The sponge of the Hurricane 8 is a hard, high-density, Chinese style sponge, but it is a new type with 15% more elasticity. The topsheet of the Hurricane 8 has more stickiness than Hurricane 2 Neo and Hurricane 3 Neo rubbers. If you are unsure which of the three versions is right for you, the hard, mid-hard, or soft version, try the mid-hard. The hard version has a harder sponge, which has greater potential for speed, while the soft version has a softer sponge, which has greater potential for spin. Therefore, the mid-hard version will offer a great balance of the two.
